This exhibition is currently on tour through the communities of the Northern Territory. The exhibition was designed so it can be hung on walls in a gallery or on fences in a paddock.

It presents the work of the Melbourne photographer, Jesse Marlow and delivers an enthusiastic and engaging commentary on indigenous football from the settlements to the carnivals. Great moments of comradeship, enthusiasm and community engagement are captured.

Having enjoyed and benefited from the generosity of those he met while undertaking this four-year project, Marlow was keen to return the favour by encouraging the work to return to the places in which it was created.

2011 cultural connotations art curatorship award
