The inaugural exhibition at the new Groninger Museum in the Netherlands. It profiled the works of its senior architect, Alessandro Mendini and his design team.

The exhibition highlighted the many fields in which this architect, designer, philosopher, editor, writer, poet and artist operates. Products designed for Abet Laminati, Alessi, Artemide, Bisazza, Cappellini, Edra, Glas, Interflex, Philips, Olivari, Ritzenhoff, Swarovski, Swatch and Venini were included. His architectural projects were also on display. The exhibition was intended to contextualise the design of the new museum building.
 
Alessandro Mendini was chief architect of the Groninger Museum in addition to guest architects Philippe Starck, Michele de Lucchi and Coop Himmelb[l]au.

  • liaise with all design corporations and manage all loans
  • oversee and manage the installation of the exhibition
  • provide curatorial assistance to museum director Frans Haks
  • edit and manage the major bi-lingual publication assocated with the exhibition (designer Swip Stolk)

Annette Welkamp serves on the Board of Management of the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce Australia. The NCCA promotes business relations between Australian and Dutch organisations and individuals.
